Microsoft and Mojang had very different opinions on what a Minecraft website looked like. The ask was to balance between the vibrant Minecraft creator community, while promoting new products within the Minecraft ecosystem. My team and I worked tirelessly designing a system that both parties could come to the table and get behind. We worked closely with the Stockholm team at Mojang to stay true to the Minecraft look and feel. After a year of some hard work and collaboration we launched the Minecraft 2.0 site.
