Ernest Airlines is a new start-up in Italy. The company wanted to create a strong brand identity that would make low cost flying look stylish. With their primary market being Albania my proposal used ethnic travel references to create inherent trust between the new brand and a growing customer base.
THE NITTY GRITTY / I developed, designed and presented this proposal to the Ernest CCO to win the bid for the brand identity. While this proposal wasn’t chosen by Ernest, I consulted on the brand identity that went Live at their launch. However, I have a deep affinity for this proposal and wish to share it with the world. THE ALBANIAN BIRD / The Albanian flag has a double-headed eagle silhouetted in black on it. The creature represents sovereignty and has very unique feather shape on its wings. The feathers separated from the bird illustration creates a distinct and playful E. I refined the wings natural E shape and combined it with the birds tongue to create the ernest logo.
COLOR BREAKDOWN / The gradient represent time of day and weather conditions. The color of the Identity changes based on these parameters. Top color represents weather conditions. While the bottom represents time of day.
