League of Legends: Wild Rift is Riot Games first step into taking a beloved game (League of Legends) and bringing it to a broader audience, by making it mobile and more accessible to people globally. Riot was not interested in a cheap port. It wanted to create a premium experience built from the ground up. The brand identity needed to feel just as premium. Our task was to create a system where we could engage legacy players, as well as newer players who may have never heard of our IP before. We also needed to differentiate the games (LoL and Wild Rift), and make sure players didn't confuse the two. Wild Rift's launch was the biggest game launch in the history of gaming. And while we didn't know how massive the game was going to hit. We did know we had a huge responsibility to our players.
